Scott Reeder Question

Sign in to disble this ad
I recently watched the Metallica documentary "Some Kind of Monster" and noticed something curious. During Scott Reeder's audition he seems to be playing a right-handed-strung bass upside-down (left-handed).

Is this a camera trick?

So he does play a left-handed bass that is strung upside down! How unusual is that?

I'm pretty sure he plays a left handed bass... left handed. But I'm not familiar with the clip in question, he could be playing a right handed bass strung upside down. They probably invited him to try out (OH yeah, we'll have a bass for you) he probably showed up and they only had right handed basses and he flipped one over.
