Sex and the City Trivia

On the TV show "Sex and the City", the one girl was dating a upright jazz bass player. Anyways she was over his house and the bass player played a recording of some good upright player. That recording sounded really good, does anyone know who was playing on that recording?

Well, I can't answer that, but .... while we're on the topic, I will say that I did a few sessions for the show subbing for my friend Bernie Miñoso, and ended up on the credits theme (the Latin tune). I didn't play upright so I know is not I on that particular (Jazz bassist) episode.

I recall SJP dating a Jazz bassist on that show.
He was wearing a pork pie hat...I figured, "OK", when she gives him das boot, she'll call her column "Goodbye Porkpie Hat".

So, I'm assuming the "good upright player" is Mingus.

Doesn't anyone(or their girlfriend) have these shows on DVD?
