Hello fellow bassists:

The other day I went to see Secret Chief 3 at The Stone in New York City and the bassist playing with them was Shahzad Ismaily, to put it lightly the guy blew me away, does anybody in this forum know about him? And if you do can you recommend a recording of his?

Yes, he's great indeed.

He plays (bass and Moog) in Marc Ribot's Ceramic dog trio.

He also plays (in various ensembles and groups) keyboards, electronics, drums and guitar.

I haven't seen him live, but i believe plays a 60's Precision through various amps.
