He's a guitar player but plays bass for a local indoor drumline/percussion group. He dosn't look like he's taller than about 4'2'' and plays a hofner (makes sense, really )

LoL | Actually, nineties Peaveys(Foundations, Fury's, Dyna-Basses) are very light and have a downsized body. They would look fine. http://i360.photobucket.com/albums/o...ndation001.jpg
By the way, I'm 6'2", but my original bass mentor was 5'6". He played a jazz with precision neck. Never felt size had anything to do with talent.

| | | Thank you I was hoping there was such a club around. I notice the majority of shorter bassists are young'uns, but I'm glad to see a few in my age group as well. I'm 5'1", 43 and a beginner, looking for my first bass. Any suggestions would be welcome. So far I've been looking at Ibanez and Squier basses for the smaller bodies and narrower necks. |

But try a lot of basses and get the one that feels right for you. I ended up getting a P-Bass and love it. | | Thread Tools | Search this Thread | | | |
