Sir Paul out on a drive across America

Sign in to disble this ad
Apparently Paul McCartney is out driving across a America. A bunch of people were calling local radio stations here in St. Louis saying they say Paul driving around downtown and a local restaurant called to confirm that he ate there.
He's driving an '89 Ford Bronco and is only traveling with his traveling secretary. Here's a couple of links to part of the story and some pics of some guys with Paul standing in front of a gas station in central Illinois.

I wasn't advocating that we all jump in our cars and run every Ford Bronco we see off the road. I just thought it was a really cool story and kind of nice to see someone that famous just traveling around being a regular guy. Especially in this day of media whores.

Thanks for the story...
Boy does that look like a lame radio station...thank God for Satellite Radio, if I never have to listen a zany morning show giving away $100 to the 5th caller again in my life it was well worth the $12.95 a month....

Crap. He's out looking for me again! He said he'd find me after I got his last $50 in a card game twelve years ago...

Hide me, fellas!

Good for him, hope he has a good time. Lord knows he deserves it, after what he's just gone through with that witch.

Hope the dude isn't stalked too relentlessly, I mean if a radio station is covering his every move, I doubt he'll be able to do much vacationing.

What's Ringo up to anyway?

Seems the irony is lost on you. By starting this thread, you are making his plans to be a regular guy known in a popular forum, thereby reducing his chances, albeit minimally, of having the experience he's seeking. You're reporting this as much as any other media whore would.

Touring the casino circuit with his All Starr Band in support of his "Liverpool 8" CD...Hamish Stuart (Average White Band, Aretha Franklin, Paul McCartney) is playing bass..."Pick Up the Pieces" was a highlight of the show I saw in Niagara Falls...

It's well known that Paul likes to get out from behind the superstar persona, and attempt a normal existence from time to time. He's been doing it since the heyday of the Beatles, when he used to take off wearing a disguise.

Fair play to him, because it must be torture to be recognised anywhere you go in the world. I would hate that.

This is nonsense.

Everyone knows that Paul died in a car accident back in 1966.
