Hi Folks,
A recent thread on Sir Paul McCartney started me thinking...
can anyone recall a recorded solo by him in a song?
My Beatles fan friends insist that he had way too much taste to do a solo.
Anyone?
Thanks,
B

May be a holdover from my first mentor on the bass - an old R&B and country guy. But there don't seem to be any true solos on record; lots of great, tasteful rockin licks, though. I agree that those solo Abbey Road sessions are ... kind of... embarrassing. What was he trying to do, show that he didn't need John, Ringo or George? As you can see, he ends up with pretty good English blues. But not The Beatles. Hey, thanks for taking the time to add to the thread.
