So I saw Dillinger Escape Plan last night

...again

they never cease to amaze me.
I thought that the show would be rather bland because of their new album, which ironically...did cease to amaze me.
But as usual, I was blown away.

At the end of their frequently-opened-with song Panasonic Youth, the singer, Greg Puciato, grabbed me by the head and we both screamed the part at the end. After that song finished, he whispered into my ear 'f*ck yes'.
It was the closest I've ever been to being gay.

Does anyone else have live Dillinger stories they can share?

Not a fan, but that sounds like one hell of a time you had. He seems like a real cool guy.

I started to like them a summer 2 - 3 years ago. For a while i listened to them a lot. And..one they after work i heard some music not far away from where i was working. I walked towards the music..and guess what. DEP (the band i beeen listening to that whole summer) were playing an outdoor concert five minutes walk form my workplace

I don't have any stories about the band but one time I got a massage from a dude and I'm pretty sure it moved. That's about as close as I've ever come to being gay. Oh yeah, and one time I accidentally sang along to this song. That was pretty gay too.

Go to "Live In Concert" - I was there. I'm the big bearded guy with the leather jacket in front of Jeff. Most incredible live band ever. It was the last show of the mini-tour following the release of Ire Works. Jeff and Ben came out and goofed around with their guitars during A Life Once Lost's "Firewater Joyride" (Jeff in a bikini top and short shorts), and they definitely broke a lot of their lighting gear during Sunshine The Werewolf... you can't see the moment Ben jumps off of it (two months after his broken leg incident, no less!), because the camera guys are focusing on the dude who's breathing fire, of course, but he smashed a lot of the stuff on his side of the stage. Such a great show. Liam's tone was MAGNIFICENT.

Saw them open for Mr Bungle in St Louis a few years ago... underwhelmed... but that could be because I stood in line for 3 hours....

I remember being on a music festival about 6 years ago and just wandered around 1 of the many stages.
I had no idea what would play this afternoon and was actually on my way to my tent

Then I bought some beer next to a stage where dillinger escape plan (never heard of them) was starting their show.

Man it was the most hectic and insane stage pressence i ever seen!, guitarists ran over the stage, jumping from monitors and Greg Puciato was acting like a frenzied bodybuilder screaming his lungs out
Their stage pressence was the closest thing to fighting a melee war vs a whole invisible army (and the front row of the crowd) while trying to play a insanely complicated song.

I was totaly blown away by that band!

Tbh i never really been into extreme metal, but their hardcore style mixed with their punk attitude made the band much more accesible to me than those satanic black bands that just stand still and headbang.

I must say I buyed Option Paralysis and its really the best album i bought so far this year.
Widower is almost like a ballad from a metal band, but they get away with it just because they are so very talented and the singer must have the largest vocal variaty ever.

i have seen DEP 6 times over the years. They always get better each time. And i think each time, at least one member of the band had blood coming out of their head or face. Very intense!
