I love it, because the energy level of the performance was so high. It brings back memories. I saw Bootsy open for Parliament-Funkadelic in 1976 (year of the Mothersip Connection) when his first solo album was brand new. His first Space bass had been stolen, and he played a white Fender Jazz. What is striking is that he was not nearly as fluid singing and playing then as he was in that clip, which I assume was filmed much later, after the Bootsy thing had already become nostalgia. It is easy to get caught up in the image, but Bootsy is a heck of a player!

Also, Bootsy's finger tone during the solo sections was killer! Very defined and growly. I wish he'd record with that tone.
