Some very tidy fretless playing - Stefan Neldner.

First off, I know nothing of fretless bass playing other than the fact that it's difficult to do well and that I will never be able to even play a major scale in tune on one .

That makes this guy's playing all the more amazing to me ...

Just wanted to share that with you, as a quick search of his name on this forum yielded only one short post from 2010 .

Sorry about that! I hadn't considered the effect that it might have on those who are already playing fretless . For me, it was just a reminder never to start !

Stefan Neldner is a highly underrated german bassplayer. Check out his tasty playing on Jasper van't Hof last work called "Oeuvre".

Very nice! Great tone.

Reminds me of Eberhardt Weber in a way. Must be something with the drinking water in das Reich.

I really like his playing. Can't seem to find any solo stuff of his to purchase on the web. His website doesn't seem to be working for me. Any suggestions, anyone? Will check out Oeuvre too.
