Does anyone know the name of The woman who was playing bass on Sophie Ellis-Bextor's 'Catch you?' I seem to remember she was using a Lakland JO5 (I think), in some live footage last year...

Also, the band you see in live versions/videos is not necessarily the same musicians who played the studio tracks.
after seeing a live version on youtube the bassist looks like the same bassist who played some of Robbie Williams live dates as well, cant for the life of me think of her name though..needless to say she's obviously a session basist and pretty easy on the eye as well.

Bob Ohlsson, former Motown 'super' engineer.....the man responsible for THAT sound.

| | | | Sophie Ellis Bextor Bass Player Hi all,
I think Yolanda Charles is black/mixed origin whereas Sophie's Bass Player is white.

Yolanda plays Lakland as well, but she looks like this:
KILLER player, BTW.

| | | | I've scoured the net and can't find any of Sophie's band listings so I don't know her name either.
Beautiful bass sound on the Al Murray Show video clips, to me it doesn't sound like a Lakland though? Is she playing through an Ashdown 4x10 combo?
I agree with Murf - she's very tasty! |

| | | | I think we need to find someone who has her latest album and have a look at whether she is mentioned in the credits on the CD cover? |

| | | I believe her name is Laura? Sorry, don't know her surname.
She seems to be playing with the Sugababes at the moment.
