Spencer Campbell. Anyone - ?

I heard about Toy Matinee and Kevin Gilbert here in a thread about which albums totally blew one away; after listening to TM on youtube, I'm REALLY digging his bassist, Spencer Campbell. Googling him, I discover he's been around, playing with quite a few well-known artists, yet it seems he's fairly unknown on his own. Opinions?

As an aside, KG is another sad story. http://www.talkbass.com/forum/images...atozsmiley.gif

Can anyone turn me on to any transcriptions of TM/Campbell parts? The bigger tab sites have nothing.

IMHO, he's got SOME chops! But heck, compared to me, everyone does. http://www.talkbass.com/forum/images.../guitarist.gif

TIA

edit: So I just HAD to buy the CD. Youtube lists Campbell as Toy Matinee's bassist. The CD notes by Scott Schinder list Guy Pratt as bassist. Confused. Anyway, WHOEVER plays on the CD I like. He exhibits, dare I say it - Jaco-esque tendencies - occasionally. Very tasty stuff. Stepping off soapbox....

Guy Pratt was the bass player on the Toy Matinee album, one hell of a bass player .. also the bass player with Pink Floyd post Roger Waters. Spencer Campbell played with Toy Matinee live only but does appear on the "Live at the Roxy" album, officially released last year I think.

Spencer was the live bassist for Toy Matinee. The band (session guys anyway) basically walked after making the record. This left Kevin with an incredible record and no band. So he recruited:
Mark Bonilla: Guitar
Sheryl Crow: Keys
Spencer Campbell: Bass
Toss Panos: Drums

He was then Sheryl Crow's second bassist (Sheryl was the live keys in Toy Matinee). I got to tour with Sheryl while Spencer was out with her, and he plays with a lot of authority and command of the instrument. And he knows it!lol
