I'm not talking about Derek Smalls, but the music in the movie, what bassist played those? I hate to admit it, but I LOVE a lot of those lines. I'm buying Smell the Glove tommorow (hehe) soundtrack. I mean, they're just GOOD. Help please...I'm guessing some studio musician. |

The Actors are very good musicians as well as comedians and played their own instruments. Im not sure if they wrote the songs or not though , they might of...........

Notice, Mckean Guest and Shearer played on the soundtrack. And I think Reiner actually wrote a few of the songs too.

the Comic Strip Presents: Bad News Tour?!
I just looked it up and they reissued it on dvd. http://www.artistdirect.com/nad/stor...068415,00.html
A friend downloaded it from Acquisition - it was on the BBC in the early 80's, they were a regular comedy troup. These kooky guys came out with a heavy metal band spoof movie 1 year before this is Spinal Tap came out - me thinks Reiner and the boys ripped these guys off.
