Stingray not so much IMO. It could cut the funk but probably not the soul/r&b

The more I listen ( XM-The Groove), It's becoming apparent that a good majority of hit's have been played on a P-Bass, so, I'm going that way! And finally after all these years, I purchased a P-Bass, and with my Band, my Stingray and P both work as far as tone and tunes.
