Does anyone know who the bassist is for prog-rock band Spock's Beard. His lines are so slick

somebody said it on TB before: RIC with a pick, but a killer tone. He is one of the main composers now that Neal Morse is been out of the band, as I recall. Great player, mainly because it may seem dangerously close to Squire with his rig, but he sounds veeery different, modern, hard rockin'. Dave Meros rules.

Actually, he used a heavily modified Rick with 4 p-ups. The original ones, plus J p-ups. I remember reading about him getting a custom made bass, based on that "Fendenbacker".
I love his tone and playing style, he really cuts through and has some great basslines. Even cooler when he plays fingerstyle.
And, they are a damn good band. With or without Neal Morse.

I miss Neal Morse. I liked "Feel Euphoria" but the one after that I can't listen to.

And since Neal's output post-SB isn't too my liking then the only solution is for him to rejoin!

Your question was already answered, but Dave is definitely an awesome bassist.
