What are the technical challenges, both playing and recording, of playing in SMV?

How would you assess that state of the electric bass from when you started playing it up until now?

Will he give me his new Alembic with the Bigsby on it?

Ha! Only joking.

Real Question:

How does he practice to be able switch between upright and short scale electric with light guage strings?

I'll try to include some more general questions, it's more interesting than just specific stuff

I have a question - Will SMV do another album & tour and is there a dvd in the works?

get him

to tell you the history of his 32" red bass - the one he has now tuned to tenor, IIRC, and the one he knocked the headstock off of in Italy. Ask him to tell stories about working with Chick Corea and George Duke, too.

Stanley is a great guy, laid back and thoughtful, a bit of a fan of the human comedy. I suggest staying away from tech & gear questions.

ask him about when jaco would call him in the middle of the night just to tell him he was the "Baddest cat ever".

How many different women has he slept with?

Overall, have movie score contracts netted the majority of his lifetime income?

Has he ever, ever in his life, practiced, alone, when it felt like a chore?

Is Alan Holdsworth as big an ass as they say?

Has he ever thrown a bass guitar? How far did it go?

How does he feel about taking a private lesson from FMoore60 to help him be a better player! I usually don't like more than one student at a time, but I guess I could work Wooten in, if he keeps quiet!

Or - How do you stay humble when you are a God!

Ha, I thought that too! I would like to see him work with Richie Kotzen again. In the 70's Stanley used Ray Gomez a lot, and I thought Richie would be another good fit to bring that rock edge to his more fusion-ish canon.
