Crazy Bieber fans.

Speaking of "controversial" - how about Arcade Fire! There are thousands of bar bands in America with boatloads more musicianship. |

My mother was so excited that she won .. because I sent her a YT video about a year ago .. the one where she played at the White House.... and she loved it..
These kids for the most part have no clue what good music is... and to a great extent folks in our generation dropped the ball in passing it on.. My 13 year old son loves Esperanza.. but I suspect he has ulterior motives... being 13 and all...
Arcade Fire.. I never heard them.. I heard of them.. but I never gave them a listen.. now I guess I'll have to tube them up.. |

Stanley... Well, I should hear the album before I say anything, but it does seem like he's gotten by on name for a long time...

I think he finally is no longer worried about commercial success anymore, and his music sounds much more relaxed and "real" lately.

Kudos sir~!

Stanley Clarke is still kicking some serious bass!!! By the way, the CD is great! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FCNVr...eature=related http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RGWHe...eature=related

But yeah, I still fail to see the appeal of that band. I guess if you really don't like syncopation... |

Yep, Arcade Fire lost me with the Anarchist Cyclists. I did enjoy Tinkerbell on drums, however!
It kind of reminded me of Polyphonic Spree with interesting Geometric Haircuts.
BTW, here's one of my favorite clips that references Arcade Fire:
"Blogs are cool. Apple is cool. IndieMusic is Cool. You are Lame." LOL http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1pU1LoZeBYk

And Arcade Fire is possibly the worst music I've heard in years. I'm absolutely shocked that anyone would actually subject themselves to a musical atrocity like that, and then call it "album of the year." My brain hurts. |

Unfortunately, for my tastes anyway, his electric bass tone was a little 'on the nose'... But then again, it may have been a FOH EQ issue...

The new band has Frank Gambale and Jean Luc Ponty. That's definitely on my Must See list if they tour the States!
