So far my fav bass / guitar dual use 12's I've tried, and they are relatively inexpensive (around 90-95$ each). | I'm pretty sure I had these in my emperor 4x12 when I had that rig. Wasn't thrilled with them, although that could be because I wasn't thrilled with those cabs in general.
I also wouldn't be mixing this into the bongripper rig. That is perfect as is, the Sunn 1200s w/ Berg 610&215 can keep up with and out volume all the guitar rigs I'm playing with, so really I don't need to add any more, it's a beautiful thing.
This idea is mostly for fun, and perhaps a drum and bass duo band where I would use the Bongripper rig full range, and then run that 4x12 with some tube head for a dirty/midrange kind of thing...sort of like a ghetto bi-amp setup. |

Some love them, some hate them. The Emperor 2x12 I have with them in it used to belong to Sonny of Bluebeard fame, and he hated it, I picked it up and i love it :idk: Unfortunately I don't have any other suggestions from personal experience on bass 12's.
