I'm pretty sure I had these in my emperor 4x12 when I had that rig. Wasn't thrilled with them, although that could be because I wasn't thrilled with those cabs in general.

I also wouldn't be mixing this into the bongripper rig. That is perfect as is, the Sunn 1200s w/ Berg 610&215 can keep up with and out volume all the guitar rigs I'm playing with, so really I don't need to add any more, it's a beautiful thing.

This idea is mostly for fun, and perhaps a drum and bass duo band where I would use the Bongripper rig full range, and then run that 4x12 with some tube head for a dirty/midrange kind of thing...sort of like a ghetto bi-amp setup.

Isn't that Peavey PA the same PA in the Magma demo video with the bassist from Danava and the Kramer bass?

I gotcha, I've heard mixed reviews on these speakers. Some love them, some hate them. The Emperor 2x12 I have with them in it used to belong to Sonny of Bluebeard fame, and he hated it, I picked it up and i love it :idk: Unfortunately I don't have any other suggestions from personal experience on bass 12's.

Even for bass though? Do they make Fane bass speakers or clones there of?

*edit* they do! http://www.fane-acoustics.com/prod_details.aspx?pid=203 <- that's the only onei could find one their site that is recommended for use in sealed enclosures every other one needed two way porting.
