yea pulling just a little clean blend in on git is sweet. If I could have just 1 dirt pedal and I had to cover a lot of tones, that would be the one pedal to rule them all
Sounds cool, got a couple questions. What's the drum program? Did you have it set up before you showed up? What was the bass set up?
It's Superior Drummer 2.0 by Toontrack. We jammed at my house and I have it setup as an instrument in Logic, I had it running through my monitors. I believe they also provide a standalone program for mac and pc with it though. The bass setup was the same one I use for most of the demo clips I post here, my Precision into my pedalboard (which was just my tuner, HPF-PRE and EBS Multidrive) into the GK MB800, into my DIY 1x10 cab. We didn't really put much thought into tone, just had all tone controls set flat pretty much as we were just trying out riffs, so I mixed the crap out of that clip.
I always have that and my Carvin guitar head + 2x12 setup in my home office, where my recording stuff is. I also have a Fender PRRI and a Sunn Beta Bass laying around in here. One of my goals this year is to clean up and organize my office a little more, so I can some little micro rigs setup in a permanent place, ready to record live tones on a whim even easier.
well,what a scorcher here today!
It hit about 42 degrees Celsius, which is 107 in your language.Hot in anyones language.
I was perusing through the old facebook today when I came across a gig poster.I was looking through it going 'hey, that's a pretty cool looking gig',but when I got to the bottom,I saw my name on it.Not sure how that one happened.

Here's a little snippet of the jam I had with my friend Tony on guitar last night. He was borrowing my Les Paul (since he doesn't have anything set up for B) and Carvin X100B, using his Wren & Cuff TFR. Just one quick cut of a part we were working on. Too bad I don't have more, the big chorus type part we're working out to come after this sound killer, I think. We were going for something between Sleep, Yob and Melvins.
This singer sounds great with the funeralish/depressive heavy going on. Must have headphones and bump him up in the mix a tad. This is def a style of singing I would like to try, mixed with some sludge hardcore screaming/death grunts/black metal screaching
Great album, I can't wait to hear what they do next. I have a feeling it will be HEAVY.
So I'm listening to Reign in Blood for the first time in years, it was on near-constant rotation in my teens and early 20s. Holy ****, it really holds up. Production is great, performance is great, even the lyrics, while a little cheesy are really damn good. Still heavy and intense 26 years later. On to South of Heaven...
Damn, 10 pages of catch up! I won't bother quoting...
I finally finished putting my board back together, and getting it tested. I just have to build a new box to house it. I'll spare you guys the full details, but I'll post em in the PYPB thread if anyone's interested... anyway.. here it is:
I haven't listed them yet, but I'm going to be selling my Lodestone, Gristleizer, Great Destroyer, a little looper, and a small A/B switch. If anybody is interested, shoot me a message.
