Awesome fretless player doomed to obscurity due to the bands/styles he's performed with. I was amazed to find there wasn't already a thread dedicated to him.

Great player and one of the best in death metal. His own project Darkhall is pretty good too. Nice playing and composing there.

Can you fellas recommend a particular CD of his to check out? I know he's played with a number of bands. What's his best?

He is one of the big reasons that I picked up fretless in the first place! Individual Thought Patterns is amazing! Also check out what he did on Iced Earth's Horror Show.

Love what he does in individual thought patterns, specially in the songs Nothing is everything and destiny.

Just what I was about to say. I already knew he was great but seeing how amazing he was in action was quite cool. And he didn't steal the spotlight from the others. He just added some VERY cool parts to a already kick-ass song.

Check out a Vision Of Misery by SADUS if it's still available. The opening track has some excellent playing on it. There's a really good fill near the start of the song that is just amazing to hear. His work towards the end of the track is also good.

Just so you know, TESTAMENT's new drummer is Jon Allen, also formerly of SADUS.
