RIP... if it is, he's from the US an played with Scofield, Aretha, Sanborn, etc. Had a Mayones signiture bass. Couple hits on his name on youtube with a jazz vocalist.

Yup, it was him.
He lived in Cracow recently, moved from Wien.
Played here with Jarek Smietana, Funk De Nite band.
