Why would the bass be ruined?

Yeah, Fender's are hard to break. The way he was moving around that night, I was afraid I might have caught his hand, or worse yet, his ear!

I think when people say "Motown" they mean from the inception of the lable thru the seventies. The "golden years'. After that it wasn't the motown we all know and love anymore. Now that it's been sold it's definately a new animal.

Yeah, "Motown" days refers to the Snake Pit and Funk Brothers.

They've been running a piece on VH1 about Stevie's "Songs in the Key of Life" double album and even though I have seen this special a few dozen times now, it never fails to put me in a groovy mood! I instantly wanna pick up my bass and play along with Nathan Watts on "I Wish" - Oh, man!

We used to do "I Wish" as a drum cadence in marching band back in the middle 80's - We had the absolute coolest drum line at Normandy High in the 80's!

Ok - I gotta go out and buy me some Stevie! "Sir Duke" - "I wish" on deck first - gotta jam with 'em... I just gotta!
