He has a full-time personal chef who accompanies him everywhere-including on tour. Almost everything this guy cooks is organic and healthy. Just one of the perks of having several hundred million in the bank! At the end of the interview, the reporter said "It's good to be Sting." |

| | | | i read that he used to run 5 miles everyday before yoga. how is yoga that much better than running and calisthetics? maybe his older age led him to abandon running (hard on the joints) |

And he wrote a very readable biography and that stuff with the lute recently, I think our Sting is something of a renaissance man. I don't see him stuffing a lot of food down for lean-time insurance somehow. |

There are tons of good yoga workouts, and it would take too much to go into it here. Look for a Yoga class near you, or look at any number of great videos on the subject.
Yoga makes you ripped because you're using your body weight as resistance. If stretches, strengthens and tones your muscles. All while keeping you calm and teaching you how to remain calm under stress. There are very few forms of exercise that are for everybody, but Yoga is one of them.

These videos are really good - the first ones I ever did. They move a little fast for a beginner, but after a few tries it's simple - and there's 'room to grow' as you get more adept.

Steroids simply allow you to recover and work much more efficiently than someone who doesn't take them. Remember, steroid using sprinters don't look like football linemen.
+1 for yoga. I hope to get into it myself soon.

The reason is that yoga is good, but if you do the postures wrong, you could both hurt yourself (really badly, actually, speaking from experience), and you also train your body to do the postures wrong for a very long time.
As an example, forward and back bends are excellent, but if you put wrong pressure on the disks, bad things could happen -- similar to lifting the wrong way.
Also, if the body says no to certain extreme postures (such as you feel pain, not just stretching), don't do it. Pain signals you to stop doing it until you are more flexible, then things happen naturally. One problem with especially male (alpha males especially) is that it becomes a competition, to check if you are more flexible than the ones next to you. Bad things happen from this, too.
