to this:
I am 100% positive I am getting that bass synth and phaser pedal for x-mas. Going to figure out octave fuzz and ultimate drive. Maybe digital delay. I might need to make up a bigger board...
I love this bass.

His text to me last night said something along the lines of, "Bass and guitar stereo rigs would be epic! I want permanent hearing loss and spontaneous abortions in the audience."

The only stereo rig that matters.
And I think it might qualify as quadraphonic... or 7.1 or some ****

Tried out the darkglass B7K at Bongripper practice last night. Verdict is, the low end is amazing on that pedal. My low notes (low F and such) were much more detailed and huge sounding than ever. However, over all the gain structure on my Rat is just so much more appealing to my (and my bands ears). I'm thinking of trying out some sort of clean blend/buffer/eq pedal to run my rat through to get a little more of that huge bottom that the darkglass had. My 84' whiteface Rat has a clean blend but I could get the huge low end or the bite of a rat, but not both. But the clean blend on it is a little hard to dial in hence the idea of a separate pedal (like the badger schism, or wounded paw blender).
As far as the darkglass, I really wanted it to work but my old rat has beat out yet another contender. So it'll be seeing the classifieds soon.
Any opinions on clean/parallel blending pedals to check out? |

Plus it's a pretty good shot of the RD and my pedalboard. |

Another thing you can try is a simple loop with your rat and an EQ pedal to boost the lows. Slightly different effect but I find it sounds more natural than blending |

Dialing it back brought a lot back into my lows and mid lows that I was missing, sounding much better than just cranking the bass knob. These settings ended up resulting in a very angry and gnarly top end, with a real thick and meaty low end. | | Thread Tools | Search this Thread | | | |
