So this used to be a yellow BOSS ODB-3. Now its modded with a Monte Allum kit and rehoused, Max style.

It's not perfect on close inspection but from standing height, it looks pretty good. Made out of a wood cigar box lid and empty DVD cases. There is still a couple solders my guitarist has to make, so tomorrow is the big day. And I only cut myself once, it was a real bleeder too.

Fancy new pedal board...I upgraded from carpet flooring to hard wood floors.

I've got one of the Mini's and it kills. TAFM or 4545 next.

ooooooooohh... Nice pedal man! When does that land? My TAFM is supposed to go out tomorrow from what I hear. I can't wait. Those Minis look cool.. Please let me know how you think the Mini and the FO compare to one another.

Spinning some Dinosaur Jr today. "Beyond". It's become my default Friday disc.

Happy friday peoples! Coffee is hot and I'm about to put on the headphones and get down to work.

Speaking of Bottom, I never got to see them but I did see Men of Porn on one of their tours. They had Henry Vasquez from Sour Vein/St. Vitus on drums and Nila from Bottom on bass. They ended up crashing at my place after the show. Nila got a huge kick out of the forest of empty tall boy cans on the kitchen counter, then drank all of our bourbon.

Morning Stone Band people. I could go to sleep as I type this. Much coffee is required.

Practice went pretty well last night. The guitarist's lady parts stopped hurting after I showed him I fixed the pa feedback issues and goosed out some more volume. Singer was happy too. Songs are coming together, I think everyone's just tired of playing in my basement lol. Can't blame them, though it's pretty pimp down there.

Ordered random stuff off ebay last night... finished christmas shopping and ordered a gig bag, flats, a black pickguard and black knobs for my pbass. Oh and ordered that Nady DI I mentioned yesterday. Did practice with the Stingray going into my Zoom B3 with no effects running but the active/passive switch then into the BBM, sounded surprisingly good. I think using the DI in front to mod the attenuation should do the trick so I can just flick the switch depending on my bass and I can go back to trying to get space sounds out of my B3.

I wish EHX would make a bass version of this, only with something that sounds better than the BBM. Or maybe no dirt at all, just 3 different effects. Anyone try the metal muff on bass?

My guitar player has a tone tattoo... matter of fact his demo video is up on the ehx site. I never plugged into it but it's a cool little multi. If you really want to I can give it a shot sometime. Mid scoop seems pretty much unavoidable so I never tried.

Going to the doc in a week to get the cortisone spike into the left shoulder. Hopefully I'll be pain-free for a little while. Saw an ad on CL for a guy wanting to play Dinosaur Jr type of heavy pop, which would be a fun project.

Haven't been in a band in a long time, since the wrist/thumb/shoulder issues started popping up, but I'm kind of getting the itch to try it again.

Nah, that's alright. My guitar player has a metal muff on a shelf in the jam room. Maybe I'll give it shot next time. I kind of figured the scoop would be a bit much.

I got some in my back, be two weeks from this Monday. Been eating pain pills everyday... this isn't working and I can't be "medicated" the other way, 24/7.
