Morning: Coffee is awesome...
On that note, saturday we stopped in a coffee shop, and I got some crazy latte.. Long story short, 10oz of espresso from 5-7p led to like zero sleep saturday night, but decent attentive playing. The Jam from saturday seems to have gone well. There's a YT clip, so I'll probably share it later...

Gear wise my next few weeks are looking like: Buying new board, arranging what I decide to keep, selling off the stuff that's not staying, finding a case (hoping for an old mixer case or something). Then, there should be more than enough left in my gear fund to buy the bass I've been oogling....

For you guys? Of course! Ryan said it has kind of a chorusy, delay with modulation. Delay speed being controlled by the wah rocker.

Mine will be like this, but red. Scratch one thing off the list.

Now I wish my pedals were plexi or something to conduct the lighting.

Eh, might just bite the bullet and pick up a set of these. Really getting tired of tuning after every song.

http://www.ebay.com/itm/NEW-Hipshot-...-/300718743946

btw ampeg you said that they've only ever had one style for tuners, so these should be drop in replacements right?

I am, I used to be a full time drummer part time guitar / bass player. But my body decided to tell me that I'm too old to play grindcore anymore....

As far as that drum set for 300$ its not badd for the whole lot, but everything in there is bottom of the barrel. The drums are atleast 20 years old and from pearls bottom line, the cymbals are newer but yet again are from Paiste and Zildjian's bottom lines. If your looking for something just to bang on it will be great, for live performances your looking at a whole bunch of cardboard.

I agree with this. It's a good starting point, but nothing spectacular there. I paid $300 for a similar set a few years ago when I was getting into drums.

I would go for something like this: http://quadcities.craigslist.org/msg/3455205007.html But I'd counter offer.

Yup, those are the kind I put on my '79. BTW, removed the plastic washer on the back of the tuners and reused everything else (plastic bushings and screws. Also rickenbacker only had one other kind of tuner but they look nothing like the hipshot and look more like a guitar tuner (closed gear). And used mostly pre '73.

Plastic washer? Not sure what you mean. I've only messed with tuners on a bass once. I'll probably just try to replace everything.

The drums would mostly be for in house jams. And once in a blue moon used live.

This drumset its very good and would last you up until you become a pro touring drummer, and the cymbals are of the same price point as the other set. If you could get it in the 4-500$ range it would but be alot better investment that the 300$ set you posted.

If you think $300 is worth it to you for that Pearl, then I'd go for it. Maybe offer $250 and see what the guy says from there.

Maybe one of those Monkey Boards? lol.

This guitar player I work with wants a review asap. I know what I would have built would not have been close to being as cool. The amp accent lights on the website looke rad as well.

I knew a company like this existed.

Those are cool pedalboards, but a little gaudy for my tastes. I figure I could probably make a nice pedalboard pretty easy.

For all the doomers who may be curious, The Hobbit was a satisfying use of 3 hours of my life. Highly recommended if you liked the LOTR trilogy. Made me want to read the book again (but then I said "screw that" and loaded up Guild Wars to get my epic questing fix instead)
