Well, at least I'm wearing my Malkin jersey today.

Simple, easy to use pedal suggestions to do fun things when I'm doing feedback/letting stuff ring out?

Could use a simple comp to let that go on for as long as u like. Phaser might sound nice with a very long sweep.

Yeah simple phase with a huge sweep, or some cool modulated delay.

dunwichamps 02-05-2013 10:37 AM

modulated delay with instant oscillations.

I also like flanger but its much more intense then phasing.

The infamous Dunwich M.O.F.D.E.P.??? (modulated octave fuzz delayed envelope phaser?)

Off topic, who enjoyed the Firefly series? You'll appreciate this

and back ON topic... as far as feedback loopers go, do you guys get worried about your speakers when the rig's running hot and you kick that bugger on?

I've bought stuff from wtfaccessories before, it's located in china if I remember correctly. Took a few weeks for stuff to get here, but it arrived safely (and very cheap).

I keep telling my guitarist to start playing with effects more... Maybe I should just do it :)

just out of curiosity.. how do you delay junkies feel about the Boss RE-20 Space Echo? Obviously it can't compare to the RE-201, but is the simulation even remotely similar to the original? I'm borrowing one from my guitarist, but so far it's not as satisfying to play with as my DL-4..

bassboysam 02-05-2013 11:22 AM

Tried the EQD delay last night. Couldn't really hear any effect. I will have to experiment a little more.

If your looking for a more ambient like delay its not bad, I don't like the input trim pot that's always on. The DL-4 is definitely more digital sounding which is going to stand out better in a bass setup, but as we've discussed before that might not be your cup or tea or it might. If your looking for a delay to meld in with your tone and add some sick sustain with a lil warble the RE-20 is the way to go, if your looking for audible repeats the DL-4 will be more your flavor.
