I can plan for that. Mom only lives about 40 minutes from P-burgh, so I can go visit her on Friday, drive up for the show, and crash at her place for Saturday and Sunday.

What time does the show start?

Yeah! Talkbass S/D thread show! I'm pretty excited, every band is good.

I'm excited to see Vega, and Sardonyx is members of the Antiprism, who were my favorite local band for the last few years. They were old-school black/thrash metal with a touch of doom. I've heard good things about their new stuff.

Yeah they're really impressive. Great sounding kits. Their hardware is really nice. The 4 point Tom mounts are sexy and take them to the next level.

Hoping to get everything rolling by 9:30, but depends on the crowd. Here's the FB event: https://www.facebook.com/events/562134170464668/

Also, just saw Scorpion Child will be playing some of the Clutch shows, including Pittsburgh! So Clutch, Orange Goblin, Lionize, Kyng and Scorpion Child. That's gonna be nuts.

If you're never heard of Scorpion Child, you're welcome: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nYw9hFeonW8

Beer lottery?! At work?!! What sort of mystical fantasy land are you living in?

...Oh it's Norway, that makes sense.

the funny thing is, Norway has quite strict alchohol laws. we're not allowed to buy beer in stores after 8 pm (6 pm on saturdays, none on sundays), and all wine and liquor has to be bought in state-owned stores at insane prices. still we're allowed to have a beer lottery at the public school I work at. haha.

Can't wait for this.... My wife already had her 3rd interview for this teaching spot moved from this afternoon to this morning... so much for having a strong friday / weekend in the office... However it seems to be rain now.. unfortunately rain leads to more flooding...

Other things I can't wait for... Just snagged Brooklyn Postal Service tix amongst the biggest ticketmaster cluster fvck ever... Every page had to be resent... I nearly had an aneurysm

Anyone into "Darker My Love" ex members of the Nerve Agents and (less impressively) the distillers. Sounds kinda earthless-y but really really good
