finalised the decision to make my cassette label a real thing. any southern hemisphere fellows (or anyone who wants to pay shipping on comparatively expensive tapes, lolol) who want a small-run cassette release some time over the next year, pretty please let me know - i will be able to make it happen in a few months. |

that sucks man, had that happen to me the first winter when we bought our house. we turned on the oven and left the oven door open and sat around the kitchen for a week until the furnace was replaced. |

San Francisco is really cool, even though I didn't have much time to visit as the conference talks lasted up until 6 pm and because I was a real zombie after 10 pm due to the jetlag. And people seem really friendly
But it's also really weird to have big financial districts full of rich people just a block away from deserted zones full of homeless people...
Now I'm off to Boston, if the snow storm allows me :/
On a musical note, I thought there would be more music instruments store here, maybe I just didn't see them. But it's really great that people can just plug in in the streets and start playing ! And Amoeba looked like heaven on earth

My wife and I were there in August -It was here first time there and it was completely unsettling for her to see how much crazy, homeless tweakers there are on the streets.
Unfortunately I didn't find many stores, either, in the area we were staying. Probably could've found some gems.

If I were to set them up all together it would be Moog > Timeline on the floor via pedalboards. Then space echo sits ontop of my amp and operated via a footswitch. |

Get space heaters. Put them on hard surfaces(not carpet or rugs) in area where they won't be knocked over. Never leave them unattended while running.
Don't use a million candles either.
Fireplaces are the safest and best heat source other than a furnace. When's the last time you had your chimney cleaned?
Wouldn't hurt to get a fire extinguisher if/when you go buy heaters.

The house is pretty old. Hot water heater and AC unit are both relatively new but the furnace is old as hell. Looks like the inside is just burning away lol. |

That **** happened to me a few years ago coming back to a winter wonderland in Seattle from Florida. There was ice on the roads, snow everywhere else, was snowing, I get inside, can see my breath, and the furnace would not turn on... I trudged up the hill, bought a small shoebox sized space heater, plugged the electrical life-ender in, closed door to bedroom, climbed into zero-degree sleeping bag on bed, and dealt with it. It took them over two weeks to get it so once the furnace was finally on, to stay on once it hit the desired thermostat temp. It would simply cut off and not come back on. I would wake up to 30 degree apartment.
I was thinking about some random youtube jam I listened to well over a year ago with some guitarist and drummer jamming doom. The guitar sounds very Pike influenced and awesome. The guitarist aslo plays lefty, with a righty guitar upside down to that the E string is on the bottom. The guitarist also kills despite missing part of his left hand due to defect. Awesome. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aKaGjhbA1Ps
