I also have a Radial Big Shot A/B/Y for dual rigs. Never used it for bass, usually for guitar. A couple times live when I was the only guitarist and wanted a rig on each side of the stage, but mostly when I'm recording other people and they have multiple amps and they don't want to do overdubs. | Ah, I forgot about the loops on that pedal. I just bought a cheapo y cable. Going to try that tonight and see what's up. |

Id never want to buy anything from wade again, but if its a good pedal id be interested in one. could you compare to some other fuzz pedals? thanks man.
and what does that grizzleator do? |

and what does that grizzleator do? | I though the Grizzleator was a pedal that emulated the fuzz/distortion sound from the band Throbbing Gristle.
I could be wrong tho....

Plenty of gain and volume as you'd expect. Tons of low end. It's got lots of compression and harmonics (even octave-ish) and can get squishy or buzzy depending on how you bias it and how much gain you dial in. Highs stay smooth and delicious. You can get some rad velcro-zipper artifacts when you bias it close to cutoff.
Pretty unique sounding, unlike anything I've heard before. The circuit and use of the GT313 trannys was inspired by the Apocalypse Audio Toecutter which you can hear here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_y2u0...NSz-A&index=15
There's tons of low end that's missing from the recording, but you can get an idea of how it sounds at least. |

and what does that grizzleator do? | I got the Lodestone from Adam a few months back.. It's a big gnarly muff circuit. When I downsized my board a few months back I replaced it with a BB. I have not found there to be anything the lodestone could do that the BB can not. It's roughly 7"x7" and looks tough as hell.
The Endangered Audio Research gristleizer is a VCA - Ring Mod / VCF - Oscillator/ noise maker. It can do a whole lot of weird things, and the controls are really interactive especially the Depth & Bias knob. It also has a 4 way waveform selection knob. I bought it for $300 in the classifieds after I sold my HOG, I don't really want to sell it due to the overwhelming potential for making sounds but it isn't on my board anymore, and I'm not really using it.. so I threw it up there to recoup funds / trade bait. If the Lodestone deal goes through, I'm likely to pull the sale... then again I am saving for a Rick... I think I have a price of $290 shipped on my ILF listing I think they go for like $385 new or something crazy. Gristleizer Manual decent Gristelizer YT demo (not me)

I read your whole first explanation and was thinking "aw crap, I was way off! He din`t mention Throbbing Gristle at all." then I saw your 2nd post and felt much less retarded for saying that!
hey I kind forgot to follow up.....
Saturday I had my buddy and his friend over to try jamming out with each other for the first time. It went really well!
We all get along really well! Lots of joking and similar humor. We were able to make 2 extended early stage "songs" from 2 bass lines I made up(which felt really good). The 2 jams were more shoe gazey than anything else. I didn`t get a chance to head off in the doom direction, but we shall see!

He already has an LS-2, but I passed on my pedal GAS to him when I recorded his last band...so he's binging on pedals and strapped for board space now.
EDIT: Just realized it's a totally different type of looper. Hmmk...still cool.
