Jack Bruce is the reason that I choose bass over guitar. When I first started playing music, my buddy loaned me his strat. It was after watching a Cream live in concert on pbs or whatever, that I was like, yep I want to play like that. And I've been trying to ever since

You'd think I would own an SG bass by now... My next GAS is for something more Gibson style than Fender and I think those Waterstones are a good halway point. I can't stop looking at them.

My Gibsons Victories were a design built to compete with Fenders, and they are tone monsters, but I am Jonesin for that Gibson Bass Tone like the Thunderbirds, Les Pauls, so those Thunderbird style Waterstones look interesting. I also like some Italia and Dipinto guitars. I have noticed that Waterstone seems to slap some of their slow sellers, prototypes, etc on ebay occassionally for great prices too.
