If that malekko is the same as the PGS special edition one they did about a year ago (it was a limited for PGS and it was red and black). Pretty underwhelming actually. The lo-fi character comes through on the high end mostly so it wasn't that effective on bass. Also would go into self oscillation super easy, it was actually hard to set because of it. I've actually avoided the 616 regular version just because I wasn't too thrilled with the lofi one.

Congrats, great Bass especially with the mods. When my two Gibsons sold on ebay this week I was tempted by this Epiphone big time.

I didn't think I was going to make it. We got like 4" in 30 minutes. There was barely any snow on the road when we went to my son's roller hockey game, not even enough to cover the road. We almost didn't make it home... We stalled 3 times, got pushed once, and ended up parking at the stop sign in my neighborhood. Snow day, and I ain't got no beer... guess I got something else though

Nice score on the Rivoli. After I downsize, in a few months I'll be looking at short scales and hollows.

Damn, that's some good snow.

I really like the 616, its small but its probably pretty comparable to the CC from MXR. I think it's a little smaller. Works great for short delay / reverb stuff.

I was bored tonight and I haven't had any band practices in over 2 weeks, so I pulled up some old riff ideas I had recorded in 2011 and worked on them for a bit. I've been listening to Sad Wings Of Destiny, the first Vitus album and Witchfinder General a lot this week, so I went for a vibe along the lines of that slowed down NWOBHM type of traditional doom metal.

Just playing around with ideas, not really fleshed out to a full song, but comments/opinions are welcome...

NICE.

Pro cooking team just dropped off their left overs. Peeled for an hour and a half. Everyone now has a 5 lb bag of crawfish tails. Click image for larger version

I didn't hear what you sounded like before, but I like what you linked. Its funny how changing the tempo can totally change the dynamic of a song. I think, in general, giving a song the space of a slower tempo allows things to get nice and heavy.

Well done man.

just finished bass tracks yesterday for our three track demo, doing guitar solo's tomorrow with my guitarist then just gotta lay vocals so i should be able to post it by next week, just wish i could had got my tubes before i record, acoustic Bh600 ( sucks) through a altered ampeg 8x10 with a neo 15inch on the bottom shelf, pushed by ODB-3, with a MiM fender jazz. i made it work with what i had, the YBA-3 exploded not too long ago.

either way, if you have not heard sluglord recorded work check it out forsure, their original vocalist was this chick with a creepy voice.

Welcome! I see you`re from France! Are you a fan of Celeste? I really like their mix of doom and faster metal bits.

Hey Ron!! I got my copy of the new Bongripper split in the mail the other day. Really fvcking heavy!! I love it!

thanks! I also appreciate Celeste, I saw them touring with Katatonia a few month ago, great live act.

I used to work in a seafood restaurant, I have spent way too many hours pealing/shelling/shucking seafood...

Hey Ron, I know your a bit of a delay junkie... I got an e-mail from prymaxe about them getting Red Panda Particle's in stock... Do you have any experience / interest in these? I remember thinking that they seemed pretty cool, and really hard to find... Almost as tough to find as a Sonic Alienator....

Thought this was worth sharing: http://jerseyshore.craigslist.org/muc/3632452485.html ... I'll just dust off that 7 string...
