I think I'm gonna try to add a bit with a synth. I have a few, but, with this band I think it's gonna be an alesis micron. This is kinda a compromise with my guitar player. He wanted to get a keyboard player, and I convinced him this might work fine. I don't really want someone up in my sonic space.
Anyone done this in a stoner rock band successfully?

Kylesa's bass player does. Wish he was here to pick his brain a little.

Disney World blows the pants off Disneyland. It's not even close. Disney World has everything Disneyland has, but more in the Magic Kingdom park and 3 more theme parks, plus a bunch of other associated properties/attractions. It's way more inclusive, like going to the Republic of Disney. It's surrounded by nature preserve, it has all its own transportation between everything, you can get programs to have all your meals prepaid and all that. Being from central California, I've been to Disneyland a lot of times and you can throw a rock and hit urban blight. That was my opinion when I was 13 and we went with my family and the place was 10 times bigger and nicer when my wife and I went last year. To be honest, if I had my way I think I would have just hung out in the Animal Kingdom park 75% of the time.

Animal Kingdom was the only one that didn't have extra hours so we did that Sunday, 8-5. Well, we got back from epcot late and last day blues made us drag. Left Hotel at like 10. Reservations at lunch for 12. Sit and eat place overlooking reserve animals, giraffes, gazelles, etc. Anyways, we did like one thing, went to reservation (lucky my wife stayed behind that day with baby, made things easier for me), but reservations took forever. Bus to restaraunt. Packed. Messed up order = 3 hours. Got back at 3. Did 3-5. sucked... See, I like Magic Kingdom better. I would have did that 3 days and Hollywood Studios 1 day. Next time you are in Florida, do Busch Gardens. Same animals as Animal Kingdom, better rides. They offer a private safari for like 30 extra a person (last time we went). Do it. Worth it. Best time to go is Octoberish. They have a Halloween thing and the day time is not as hot. So Disneyland = Magic Kingdom, but closer. I'll miss Hollywood Studios, but they got Star Wars!
OK, Doom On!

They have California Adventure, which I know my wife said her nephew loved the last couple times she went with her sister. I haven't been to that park yet, personally. A lot of the stuff at Epcot was imported from California Adventure when we went to Florida. I know we're planning on going with a bunch of family and their kids in October.

One of the nights they reserve most of universal for the people there for the Cisco thing. I guess Bon Jovi is playing too but I'll be busy riding rides haha. Haven't been to Disney World since I was like 10. Love that place. |

You see any hobbyist (rc planes, outdoorsman, athletes) whos naturally drawn to their hobby willing to upgrade and expiriment with different components. And willin to actually purchase equipment. Its hard to find financial dedication out there. | Weedeater IS a 'heavyweight legend' in stoner/doom.
Perhaps moreso than any of the artists you mentioned. |

North South Potty Mouth? | I can do that! Are you good at programming drums or know someone who can do it? I could get the drummer of System **** to do it, but we don't have equipment to record drums.
For influence, I'm looking at more modern pv/grind. Bands like Water Torture (obviously), Gets Worse, Worn Out, Sea of ****, Consent (Ron's pv band), thedowngoing, Suffering Mind, Manpig, Inerds, Bestower, bastardass, Vaccine, Mindless Mutant...
Fuzzy as ****, lots of feedback, and slow, sludge parts with layered tracks of noise. I can do the more "guttural" vocals (a la Lack of Interest, Infest, Gets Worse).

Mixture of stuff I programmed and good dbeat and blast beat midi packs captured from a live drummer, from Toontrack's libraries. If you've got riff ideas or song format ideas, pm me, I can work sh*t up quick.
Another "wish I was closer moment" though. If I was in driving distance to you I could go straight to a practice space with a rack and my iMac and have drums recorded in an afternoon for something like that. I use the electronic stuff because there are zero drummers in this area who can play grindcore, crust or powerviolence. I've tried starting bands like that before for years too. I tried to start a double distorted dual bass powerviolence band like 8 years ago, had one good practice and no one was available to jam again for months.

Might have to go back and re-record over drums afterward or something. No pressure, I do side projects in my sleep. Just shoot me a PM about it whenever, I record all my stuff really easily.
