Stupid question, but what bands would you compare Supervoid to? I'm trying to fill out these contact forms for local promoters and I have no idea what to put. Only band that really comes to mind is Mastodon, not that we actually sound like them, but because of the mix of melodic and crushing riffs and vocals. | Oh man, ignored.
I like my Bison BC and DDJ comaprisons... You guys really have more than one style going for you.

Edit: Basically what Road Bull just suggested. | Yeah, it is an inexpensive non obtrusive solution that might work. Again I would think with a thick enough mouse pad, or close cell foam pad, like a section of workout pad would work. I have a mouse pad that would easily fit a 7Pro, (I think the Orange is smaller) so they are out there. It may come down to removing the smooth side surface off the mouse pad to give it extra grip.

Wasn't intentional, but I'm glad it turned out that way. And this is for the largest PGH promoter, so I doubt these suits even know who DJJ and Bison BC are, as much as I love them! |

All of our stuff is in the 5-6 minute range, with one song clocking in at a slow and doomy 10 minutes. Just based off of the stuff we have done/almost done, we're at 39 minutes at the moment. |

At that show, we opened, and started ten minutes early so that we could have a 40 minute set. |

Wouldn't want to do that with your lunchbox, of course.... | I had this problem. Grabbed some thin foam stuff from work, doesn't move at all anymore. |

If you can fill 30 - 45 minutes with material you should be fine.

Especially by the time you have some in between banter and thankyous. You prob need 25 mins of music and then some talking in between songs. Just watch out for the old, playing live makes it faster thing. When you do hit a stage, get those nerves down. Your excitement will come through on your songs and speed them up, if you aren't conscious of it.

Been guilty of that myself plenty of times, luckily when you play in a grindcore band, faster is better!

You'll more than likely tune up atleast once. Plan this ahead of time. Hit the stage tuned. Tune after first 15 minutes (if thats one, two, or three songs at that point). Know when your 6 string buddy is going, and go together. Looks more pro. Give singer a chance to say whats up. If you are the singer, multi tasking is part of the job. You can tune while you talk, right? Make sure to look up every so often though. Don't want to lose your audience. You want them to be engaged. Thanks to the bartenders! We need a pitcher up here...lol. Do you guys ask for them or hit the stage with them? Thanks headliner first. Always first, before other bands. Next break announce next band/last song.
Lot's of stuff to plan for. We have our stage stuff down at this point. I just have to remember all that, the lyrics, to sing and play at the same time, try not to get jitters, etc... lol. Most of the excitement of jamming is playing out. IMO. Never played "metal" in a band before. This should be interesting. You metal fans are some of the nicest. I will say that. IMO, much more than the punk scene. What do you guys go for first? Buttons, stickers, patches? Or, if I am going to come, I better come correct (shirts/records)?
