Those early Dismember albums were pretty sweet too. | Nice! I love Entombed. pre-Entombed/Nihilist stuff is great. Wolverine Blues and before are what I listen to most probably, but even their more "grunge" type stuff is still pretty rad.
Anyone into Hail of Bullets? they're a bit newer band, but very awesome oldschool death metal music.
I saw A Life Once Lost and Revocation in Hartford lastnight. Ken MODE was supposed to play, but they dropped off the night before for some reason which was kind of a bummer cuz i really dig them. But ALOL was awesome! always enjoyed that band, didn't particularly care for Iron Gag, but everything else is great. new album is pretty good though the drums are very weak in comparison. Revocation was pretty awesome too, didn't stay for their whole set though cuz i had to wake up early for work so i can write this post hahahahaa. |

From day one I've wanted to build a case for mine, as it IMO just seems kind of fragile in it's stock form (again, like the old aladdin lunch boxes that many of Us carried to Elementary school). The little handy carry purse that comes with'em is nice enough I guess, but I'd feel more secure (for lack of better terms), with a more industrialized enclosure. I guess, I should STFU and get over the fact, that it isn't one of the "old iron" sleds that I love, and just dig it for the tone machine that it is. FWIW, I love the TB amps, but I still expect anything that sounds any good to be big, ancient, and heavy (yea, I still haven't cured the vintage HIWATT gas, that I've had for years). |

Bit OT (as I have no idea what sub-genre it falls into), but I dug through some of My old discs this morning and found a couple of Godflesh albums, good stuff. Honestly, I forgot that I even owned'em.
Edit: this would be one of said albums: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eWaRFTEregU

Stand out bands to me was Carcass and Iron Monkey. I gave it to a friend when we quit working together.
Otherwise, I didn't really listen to "metal" made after 1980 (until recently, that is). My dad was into Sabbath and Priest, but he was mostly into heavy rock.

Last night, I was thinking of yesteryear, and how I used to find music back in the day prior to the internet. As a youngster here in Atlanta, the local radio was crap(still is), except for the college stations. Georgia Tech's station (WREK), had a program that played every Friday night called "Wreckage", that played absolutely nothing but the good stuff. It was like My resource for what to get next. Funny enough, on Saturday night the program was The Church of The SubGenius (of which I am still a member-lol).

Best one ive played so far is my vintage Doctor Q. Still would like to try others but as they come thru town used, not actively hunting. I must be fickle but that simple Dr. Q I have just does it right and how I need it. Had it for years.

It was a useful dubby lowpass filter but its quack was way too unpredictable for my tastes.
Currently sending offers to everyone who has an M82 posted... they seem to fly when posted for $85-$90, and sit when they're $100. I'm offering everyone thats still listed $90 and getting some really funny sh*tty attitude responses.
