The 1200s is an amazing amp, mainly because it doesnt have then Sunn version tube power amp but does have its awesome preamp (it's like the terror bass 1000 to my ad200b). I was gas'n for one of those 1200's for a while. I was pretty sure the last couple gigs i Played with you I saw you rocking the 300, I was envious yours was working haha

After having a solid state ampeg svt-350 for 7 years I wanted to get a real tube head. Eyeballkid was a big factor in me buying one actually. I had been reading more and more of the doom threads and he had a lot of good stuff to say about his. I had first come across the 300pro years before and really like that it had 2 channels(clean and dirty) that were blendable. Also the dude that owned it before me had put in two small fans to draw a breeze over the tubes. I`m not sure how much that helps with anything but I like having the option.
I`m a huge freak when it comes to effects(especially fuzz). But I like the dirty channel of that amp so much that if anything happened to my pedal board and I could only use my amp for dirt I`d be fine.

I wish more amps had a second gain stage / dirt channel in it for bass though. The other bass player has a 300T and it sounds great when it works, but it's the complete opposite of what I want in an amp. |

Love the design of both! Thanks guys! | Nice! Yeah, we made sure to pick high quality shirts. Nothing I hate more than buying a shirt online and finding out it is crappy. |

I saw one up close this week at a music store sitting on top of a fender 810, but they were too busy to hook it up for me. they also had an aggie db810... i'll be heading back sometime next week to dream a little. |

I have no idea what that thing could've possibly weighed but the amp was so big that it was hanging over each side and front of the cab. I mean those things are just stupid big.

The opening bands (Machine Head and All That Remains) did absolutely nothing for me. It was like being transported back in time a decade and listening to the harder stuff that made it onto modern rock radio. Ick.
My favorite part of the Dethklok stage show was that all their roadies dressed up as Klokateers, with the black executioner hoods.
The cartoon clips running on the big screen would have been distracting for other bands, but it kind of became the focus at this show.
Tonight I'm driving back to Detroit to see The Sword with my band. It's our first concert field trip together. I'm pretty pumped about it. I absolutely loved The Sword when I saw them open for Kyuss Lives!. |

Red Fang was really good. They played at a very moderate volume. It made me kind of say damn those old heads on TB are right. Fang definitely hides nothing with volume (I still have enough faults in my playing that I will continue to hide flaws with volume )
I don't know what kind of amps they were using but they may have been combos. I was in the back and they were playing on a low stage so I couldn't see what they were playing through but they sounded great probably better than the album. Their live sound make their albums sound murky in comparison. |
