I come back to DOOMland empty handed, we going to run out of venison soon. Didnt see a pair of horns the whole weekend, they all went nocturnal because of the hunting pressure.
On top of that I missed Om on Saturday, just didnt work out with hunting...next time I guess. Quote:

I really loved the T40, but everything with the Rick is just one step better tonewise. And I get this filthy tone with the fresh strings when I kick on the Agro, I don't think I'll get any more GAS in the near future ! |

| | | | You see,I too have a T-40 and a rick.I reckon the T-40 edges out the rick alot in terms of fullness of tone.I still love the rick, but sometimes I just need the T-40.Shame it weighs about as much as a small child and is hard to play.

That's something I'd like to try, but I don't think shipping it to France would be worth it
And Fuzzbassian, I understand what you say about the T40, for example the tone I got with the neck pickup is someting I miss a bit. But maybe it's because I didn't take the time to really try the neck pickup with the rick in a band situation and at high volume. And even if I got used to the T40's weight, it's nice not to have a ten ton bass to hold ^^
Anyway the T40 will be the best backup I could have ! |

| | | | Definitely give it a go at high volume. They're somewhat opposite in that the T-40 has an unshakable low end, whilst the ric is inherently bottom end free. I've found with a big enough amp though,I can roll that back in pretty easy anyway.
But for sure, having both is fantastic hey?
enjoy them!

It was not super loud, I didnt wear plugs and my ears didnt ring at all. Since there wasn't a hole ton of like 1k-3k hz sound or so it didnt come off as so loud. Plenty of bass but often sounded farty and flubbed out

| | | | Well gentlemen, ordering my first Rickenbacker today. I wanted something a little different from my old jazz (Which I think I'll keep tuned down three semi-tones) and I think I found it. Since I mainly play Prog/Stoner I was split between it and a six string 'Wick. The lack of frets is a little bit of a buzzkill - but the sweet tone nearly made me weep. |

I've always liked the tone of a P but no matter how much I try I can't get along with the neck after having played nothing but Rics for years. They've ruined other basses for me
Oh and Dunwich I absolutely love that wizard logo of yours. So fvcking badass. Makes me GAS for something of yours pretty hard haha. |
