How was the actual show though? I take it from your focus on the tone that the performance wasn't mind blowing? I kinda don't want to ruin my love for them by going to see them for the first time and being disappointed with the performance.

The vocals were pretty solid through the PA and could keep up with the rest of the band so i dont think it was necessarily underpowered but something stank it up. |

Natural for me to scrutinize it. They played pretty well but like i said i would have preferred to hear more older cuts then newer ones. |

They sounded like complete ass. There was an extra guitar player. I don't know what the hell was going on. The whole mix sounded like dog sh!t. I was super bummed.
But it was a solid line up of bands anyway, the rest of them sounded good too.
Headliner was Saviours. 2 songs in my buddy puked in a trash can and we got kicked out.

Got all the nasty glue residue off the headstock from the weird overlay that was on it, got the generic ebay pickguard and pickup and all the hardware on, polished up the frets and threw an old set of strings on it. It needs a setup bad, but after that it's ready hit CL and hopefully make me some quick $$ for my gear fund. One less pile of parts sitting in my warehouse.

I then sent him the soundcloud link to "get inspired" and he was like, have you ever heard of the Melvins? You guys kinda sound like them. lol. I'm all smiles for awhile now.

I'll try these suggestions out. Many thanks! I should specify, this isn't my schem but one I found. I'm not to the point of designing my own circuits yet by any means. I've only got a couple electronics courses under my belt, and they were YEARS ago.
Where would I place the resistive dividers exactly? Where the 470K's currently are or where the 1M's are? Or both?
In any case, the resistive divider would be replacing (not in addition to) the existing 470K/1M correct? Schem
Thanks a lot man! |

Thanks a lot man! | You would need to put a resistive divider after each coupling cap, which would be like 2 470k resistors or so to have 1/2 of the signal going into the next triode |

So over the years I`ve gotten to catch them live a bunch of time(especially due to being from buffalo). Their stage show and energy was always great but their live sound was more often than not sucky. No definition, just muddy.
I really like the new album and wouldn`t mind watching them live again.

Should I use an input cap?
This is the best thread/place on the interwebs ever!

This is the best thread/place on the interwebs ever! | sure any of that could be done if you want. how much attenuation you need will be determined by ur particular design

I should probably bread board this this time instead of just being impatient and building it from the schem right away. The existing version I built all ptp on the backs of the tube sockets, so it's going to be fun undoing it all!
If it's an easy answer, why the difference in values between the two dividers (470k/1M and 220K/470K)?
If this is asking too much feel free to tell me to stfu! I do really appreciate though, you have no idea! |

Our drummer made the packaging himself, and our singer made a bunch of CDs with a lightscribe drive with some cool looking space stuff. Pretty good for being made in house! |
