It's more of a hold though instead of a crazy self-oscillate. The switchable delay times would be easy if you had it set with two banks right next to each other. There is also the trails and overlap so it wouldn't be so abrupt when switching. You can disable that though. |

As of now at least one ped will be fed off the TU-2. Tap tempo would also be nice. And 3 delays slow, fast, and osc. It doesn't need to be super special since I sing too. I need to start dumping some gear too. |

If you were closer I would say come check out my Timeline. |

I do have a ISO 5 on the small board, but Im trying to keep the big board as slim as possible as weird as that sounds. Ill have to check out some timeline vids. I would like to board to stay pretty much like I have it now and squeeze a expression ped next to the EHX muff and use the top row for a larger delay.
My small board (cover band board)
The DOD is now my Vintage Dr. Q and no more WM. |

Take the ISO5 and get a couple splitter cables for the regular pedals and run the Timeline off the 400 ma output. You would have to check the draw on the other pedals you have but on the small board if you are just running the BB and a phase 90 you could easily daisy chain of of a tuner or run a one spot. |

They're everything I wanted, the Beta's in the bottom and bigger cab are very bassy, vintage sounding; while the Alpha's in the smaller, top cab really grind, its a good mix.
Its crushing, my Acoustic power amp almost vibrated off! And its like 45lbs! I was at Farm and Fleet tonight for some black friday browsing and I picked up a rubber car floor mat. If that doesnt work for my amp, Ill just use it for my car. Also got a jean jacket for $20, rocking a canadian suit right now. |

I had a DL4, but it was unreliable. IF you are thinking about going that route, consider the line 6 M5 or M9- they are bulletproof.
MC Muench- did you post pics of the 415? if so i totally missed it, sorry. |

| | needs more fuzz. | | Join Date: Sep 2008 Location: Dartmouth, Nova Scotia | | What do you guys recommend for ATA style cases? I e-mailed Maxline, Anvil, and Crown about custom cases. I don't necessarily have to spend $400-$500, but I'm not opposed to it if it means getting the best protection on the road.
There are a lot of SKB and Gator cases, but not many of them catch my eye. There's the Gator G Tour ATA. Any of you use that? I like butterfly clasps and locking cases.
Crown makes wonderful looking cases that have cutouts for your strap and two packs of strings. Plus I could probably put a little case for picks and my strap locks in the hole with the strap. http://www.flickr.com/photos/crownca...7600842272503/
I might e-mail Emperor, but I feel like that case would be heavy as hell.

| | Registered User | | Join Date: Jul 2011 Location: Seattle, WA. | | So I have been interested in the Fender P/J concept for a long time without being able to get my hands on one. I have read a lot of threads here on the topic, and this one seems like a solid one, (besides a lot of the passionate differences of opinion).
Anyway, I was poking around on the GC used site and came across a Fender MIM Precision Special, (P/J), not to be confused with the American Specials. From the grainy pic, I could tell that it was a Fender MIM, P/J, black, with a BAII bridge and gold anodized pick guard, for $199, and not much else. I called and found out that it also has a hipshot drop tuner, and no case. http://www.guitarcenter.com/In-Store...32-i2848845.gc
So I figured, what the hell, for that price I will give it a try and if it doesn't work, hand it back to GC. I couldn't say what condition this bass is in, and the GC employee and I may not agree on what we consider "good" condition. So, for that, we will wait and see. But it sounds interesting. And that's the crux of the issue. I will be interested in how it sounds and feels.
It will have some stiff competition from the AM Standard Jazz and AM standard Precision that I have loaded in the breach atm. Just when I feel I have decided that I prefer one over the other, I swap them out and fall in love all over again with the other. I had been playing the jazz for a long time, then I was cruising youtube crap till five in the AM listening to music, leap frogging from clip to clip when I came across Andrew Weiss throwing it down with the Henry Rollins Band. That guy can lay it down! I love his walking bass lines and solos with distortion. He used to run a P/J with the Jazz p/u ripped out. But he had such an awesome tone with the P that I had to break mine out again. That paired with my B3K and BDDI just sound good to me. Well, somehow that lead me to research on Fender P/ Js again. Then to the GC used site. Trouble for my wallet follows...
Considering the non-stock bridge and drop tuner, the pick-ups might have been upgraded as well. It's kind of like a mystery grab bag ordering from GC online. All basses get one fuzzy mug shot and then its off to the wall of doom till it moves.
Wish me luck, lol.

After I sanded the finish off the back it is the fastest neck I have in the stable. Its also probably the easiest neck to play(jazz taper). And I like how a "salesman" is trying to talk himself out of a sale. Their is utter junk and workable pieces. The guy prolly wouldn't know either I'd it bit him in the behind.

I can confirm that Al is running 3 amps. SVT with 8X10 and then two of the PF series (one was definitely a 500 couldn't make out the other one) in a 1X15 and a 2X10.
Saw some of the pedals he was using. He had a yellow Boss distortion, a POG, and one of the Moog synth pedals. Can't remember what else but it wasn't that many maybe like 6 or 7 total and one of those was a tuner.
They were pretty good but the sound was kind of off last night. The bass sounded really strange. It was loud and I could make out the notes but it didn't have much behind it. Maybe it was that the sub lows were cranked. The guy from Lichens was playing with them and his guitar and synth was mixed way louder than everything else.
Not horrible but not great either.
Daniel Higgs opened and he was awesome. I didn't know anything about him but he plays banjo like a sitar and it is totally hypnotic as all get out. |
