Also highly recommend the Boss DD7 if you're on a budget for delay, if not Boss RE-20 and EQD Ghost Disaster are my favorite delays, and that's over the Boss DM-2 and DM-3 I've owned. I'm gassing hard for the Catalinbread Echorec clone | I'm keeping the fuzz an integral part of the sound, but it's not way upfront. I've spent a lot of time playing around with stacking and blending overdrives and distortions with fuzz in the past year, so this is kind of the fruition of a lot of those tests.
Thanks for the delay recommendation, that's one effects area I'm pretty clueless on. I've only owned two in the last decade and never recorded or gigged them.

I'm thinking of a passive DI that can be used between the amp and cab with a variable HPF and LPF... |

It could also just have a minimal active one with passive EQ but active buffering. |

I knew the old drummer from Against Me and I asked him one day "How does it feel to have your band headlining the Warped Tour, in Spin magazine, and your tshirts in every Hot Topic in America." His answer was, "We didn't change anything. We make the music we want. Other people just started liking us." | Also agreed. Liking or disliking a band based on how many/few other people like them seems kinda silly to me. |

And I'm not saying that we need our own station, but a once a week block of time for new acts that are keeping alive what Led Zeppelin, Sabbath, etc started, on the station that plays Led Zeppelin and Sabbath, doesnt seem that hard to do.
I guess I just dont understand how someone could love a band, and not want to listen to what that band has inspired, because some of it is better! | I guess I feel a bit outside this conversation. I don't really feel that what my band does is in the vein of Led Zeppelin or Deep Purple at all, and while we've covered Sabbath, we don't really see ourselves as that kind of band. Well, maybe the drummer does.
We really feel that we're most definitely a metal band... just one that plays very very slow, and very very loud. |

It's just it seems kinda silly to me for him to be following the guitarist for changes... when the guitarist is following me for changes...
And he wants to play too fast. |

| | needs more fuzz. | | Join Date: Sep 2008 Location: Dartmouth, Nova Scotia | | So, I was thinking about going with Maxline Cases. Loren said the case would be $350, which isn't bad. It would basically look like this: http://a2.ec-images.myspacecdn.com/i...94d80a80/l.jpg
Except I was going to have a circular cutout for my strap/picks and a square cutout for a pack of strings (or two, if they fit). My problem is that I can't get a shipping quote. I've never had a problem getting quotes before, but for some reason it's not working for me. I don't want to end up paying $150 for shipping. I could just get a Gator G-Tour or the TSA case. I could probably get the SKB Molded ATA case. They're not as nice, but there's only so many I can get around here.
If I go with SKB or Gator, I don't have to pay shipping. I get them ordered in from Long & McQuade. The Maxline rules, but there's no way I want to pay that much for shipping. I'll have to pay the Custom fees on top.
