Make sure the suspension can handle the load your going to putting it under, but of course this all depends on just "How Much" touring you intend on doing....
I couldn't speak to any of that. We never did anything like that, just slept on the bench seating and usually rolled out sleeping bags in the cargo area, made friends with locals and crashed on floors when possible, occasionally rented a motel room if we made more money than expected. All I know for sure is if you're going to places where it's projected to be over 100F, your air conditioning will be broken within an hour of leaving home. Put money on that one.

what do you fellas think about these? KT120 power tubes

http://tubedepot.com/ts-kt120.html

i am in love with KT88 in old amps but do wish i could get more power. 150w standard out of a pair or 300w out of a quartet seems insane. anyone got experience with these? do they have that same magic just with more headroom?

Yeah they are kinda cool. But at $3 a pack times 100 packs (probably more than that)...I'd rather have the $300 today.

unless you develop the amp from scratch up its unlikely you will see any benefits esp if you do a blinded audio test. More power cannot be extracted without careful design

I specifically remember the sets where the backgrounds coincided and you could assemble the whole "puzzles" when you placed the cards in sheets in numerical order... probably around 93? I think they are still in my parents house...

I know what you`re talking about with those marvel cards!

Hey, I`ve been going balls out with buying records since I bought my turntable 2 years ago. I was just poking fun.....
I think we all warned him a few threads ago what a slippery slope starting a collection can be. That`s all I was saying.
I just got the new How To Destroy Angels limited ed. EP mailed to me today.

I'd imagine I'm pretty close to wherever it enters the country, plus I live right in the city. I have a lot of listening to do!

I did manage to get a new part written this morning for the song I'm working on. It's the second to last part, right before the last "chorus" (or whatever you want to call the big dumb hook part). Still trying to figure out if it's in the right place or if I want to rearrange it though. I might just sandwich it between two of those chorus parts near the end, haven't decided yet. If any of you have any feedback or criticism on the part or the arrangement, it's welcome. Since I'm doing everything solo, I'm bouncing my ideas off the Stoner/Doom thread, in lieu of band mates.

Craziness!

I have a job interview with a facility here in Prince William County at 8:00 tonight.

If this works out, maybe I'll be in the market for a new pre-amp pedal instead of listing gear for sale to get by.

and those Orange Terror Bass heads are looking pretty damn good. Too bad they don't just sell the the pre-amp.

Thanks, I'm still going to go back and properly record everything with actual amps. It's all direct and really quickly mixed and mastered, with a few first takes still in there. The drums need a ton of work, refine the beats and fit everything to the riffs a little better (not to mention mixing) and I need to work on the "guitar solo" a bit. I've been recording and mixing so long now though, I can dial things in on the fly pretty quick, so I appreciate the compliment.

I don't have any lyrics or a title yet, just some ideas. I've been trying to stay in one kind of feel/mood and keep images and concepts in mind while I'm writing. I'm thinking it's going to have something to do with the ocean/deep sea. I've got a lot of phrases and melodies in my head, they haven't really coalesced into anything solid yet. I do have a band name in mind, but I'm not putting it out into the world yet, until I at least get one song all the way finished. There's no band until there's a finished song, in my mind.
