If this works out, maybe I'll be in the market for a new pre-amp pedal instead of listing gear for sale to get by.
and those Orange Terror Bass heads are looking pretty damn good. Too bad they don't just sell the the pre-amp. | Good luck! |

So- anyone have any experience with the Tech 21 Oxford? How does it compare to an actual Orange amp? Is it even close? |

The contrast was so well done, there were quite a few levels to the story than what was on the surface, I won't ruin the movie but the fact you could actually analyze a Bond film made it my favorite Bond movie. And honestly Craig and Connery were the only Bond's that you could believe would bang the fvck out of a chick and then turn around and kill someone all in the same breath.

In fact, Craig actually makes me LIKE Bond films, which I usually hate. Can't wait to see it! |

It was pretty darned good! Definitely got that warm, smooth, compressed distortion. The Leeds and Liverpool pedals are impressive, too.

also, my band shares a rehearsal space w/ tber Primasonic. He recently picked up an aggie db810, which i tried out tonight with his db750 head... it is awesome! probably the best big cab i've ever heard! I don't know if I could justify the $, but it was beautiful! it was clear, punchy, big bottom, w/ very present mids, and lots of definition to the notes. it had a very physical feeling, lots of "chest." |

We'll see how it does tomorrow with a drummer and guitarist. Also spent an hour and restrung and set up my Traben, my god I should have done that sooner. I don't think it's ever sounded this good. Excited, tired, and hoping practice and this singer tryout goes well tomorrow.

On another note my 2 piece doom project seems to be turning into a weird shellac, lungfish, nomeamsno kind of thing. Still the most fun I've ever had in a band.

| | | | New to the thread, longtime fan and player of stoner and doom. Odd question, it's more in the vein of personal preference but would anyone scream blasphemy if in the middle of a nasty, filthy, fuzz ridden section it opens up to a classic jazz type of bridge? Something kind of open and airy? (I'm debating with a bandmate over a section in a tune) |
