The second one sounded amazing through my AD200 and sunn 2x15, but a month after i got it I joined a new band under the assumption of being a guitar player so i sold it to finance some guitar stuff i needed. Then i ended up being more the bass player than the guitar player in the band so i decided to pick up another one and it still sounds amazing through my orange and 2x12.
As far as the power jack I'm gonna break out the multimeter and see if i can find the problem, as well as sending pics to Ben to see if he can identify the problem (i suspect a ground was misplaced). I hope i can just fix it myself with his approval so i dont void the warranty.
If you do end up using the speaker sim out on the MS please let me know what you think. It just boggled me why it was designed for that use and yet you would still have to use a seperate DI box to go to FOH.
Thanks my friend!!! I would invite you DC guys out to the show, but its sold out! (its only a max occupancy 250 person club though so its not that big of a deal but its still nice to see that next to your band name in event listings) | I'll keep you updated on the speaker sim.. .maybe I'll take it into a DI and do a clip for you, some other people randomly sent me questions on it this morning, so I'm going to try to get some clips done when I get my board back together this weekend.
Keep me updated on the power jack situation I'm curious, and it's always good to know what may make a power jack not-work.
My Spider sounded great with my Markbass r500, but when I sold it to buy the meatsmoke I only had my old acoustic. I couldn't bear to use the big spider with it, sounded totally horrible. Thankfully the meatsmoke was en route at the time and now it's back to sounding HUGE.
Since there has been some Markbass talk on the last few parts. I will say that the R500 (though now discontinued) sounded quite Tubey and had a very responsive pre-amp in it. I recommend trying one, or any of their tube-pre amp models if you get the chance. |

I'm digging the pedal version though since I'll be able to bring it with me easily to shows where I don't get to use my rig, yet will be able to get (mostly) my tone. |

Bad Sector is cool too, don't listen to them very often. Didn't like the glitchy track too much, but the other one sick.

Do you use if for dirt, or eq, preamp, amp modelling, etc? |

Do you use if for dirt, or eq, preamp, amp modelling, etc? | I use it for dirt, mostly for messing around at home. It has a huge range of sounds you can get out of it so its awesome to have because I can tweak some knobs/switches and get radically different dirt tones. Perfect for the ADD in me because sometimes I can't decide on any one thing when I'm messing around (in a band I'm much better about finding the right tone and sticking with it).
I've been wanting to do some home solo stuff for awhile and when I eventually get around to it I know the GT2 is going to end up all over it. |

Take my money!!
I need to find better places to go on the internet besides here and FB. FB is starting to really get to me, that and OT here. I can do better things with my time than read or engage opinionated close minded whiny people . Sometimes this sh!t really irritates me. Guess I need to go hang out on a satanic forum or something... Or read a f*cking book.
So any good books relating to the occult out there I should read?
Or a good Sci-Fi? haha

I've been wanting to do some home solo stuff for awhile and when I eventually get around to it I know the GT2 is going to end up all over it. | I played a sansamp classic recently and I really liked it. The store owner actually came over and said it was the best sounding of the bunch. I'm sure I could get the GT-2 for cheaper though.
I have this crazy idea to do a sansamp-ish pedal board.
Behringer Bass Driver clone (as an outboard active eq for my bass)->Compressor (don't know yet, something for sustain)-> Dirt (My distortion I'm building)->GT-2 or Sansamp Classic for amp modeling and even more dirt. |

I have this pod super modded color sound fuzz which has a cool sound on its own. But running it into the GT2 crushes worlds. |

We got plans for something really rad to open our show with, in the works. Hope we get it in time for our first show.

They make some of the best solid state gear and effects around, for sure. Even as known as they are, I think they're consistently underrated for sound quality.
I just bought a Liverpool and British from the Character series, to set up my guitar boards around, for this new project. They're going to be waiting for me when I get back from vacation. I've already got the Boost DLA Tap Tempo, which is great and I've been thinking about picking up some of the other effects to try out as well, but the overdrives and fuzzes I have on hand have been sounding good for the tests I've already done.
Almost all of their guitar specific pedals sound great with bass too, with the right settings.
