yea precisely. only in the studio can u create a reverse delay. I guess u could play all of your songs 1 second behind and have some kind of reverse delay but it wouldnt really be the same.

if people like the pyramid fuzz pedal i can do an ancient aliens version with more fun

Ok, I had to debate with myself whether to post this one.

The Higgs Boson pedal.

First we take an EHX mole, put huge caps.. I mean like, big caps to squash the tone down to subsonic levels. Then.... treble boost with reverb. Mind==blown.

K I think that's good for crazy wacked out pedal ideas, lol.

So, I am not a huge Clutch fan. I probably couldn't pick them out if you played a bunch of songs (never really tried them out). I know Laz is super big into them. I am listening to the playlist he made.

This record reminds me of something between Primus, Bloodhound Gang, and Suicidal Tendencies. Kinda whacky vocal delivery, strange song content, groovy riffs, yelled gang style vocals. lol. (Texan Book of the Dead has all of this) Anyways, if all clutch records are like this, I'd have to be in the mood for it, but I like it. Quick Laz, what are some other good Clutch records?

JAM ROOM is my fav.

Elephant Riders (Jazzy 7/4 time goodness)
Blast Tyrant (straight up RAWK)
Robot Hive (A little more funky/ZZ Top)
Pure Rock Fury (Pure Rock Fury)

edit: yes i know, i am not Laz.

You should do the AA meme theme for graphics, call it the Tsoukalos Fuzz, and label the knob Hair. I'd buy it just for the lulz.....

and because i have a crush on giorgio....

i tried to come up with a graphic the morning for lulz but didnt happen so i had to go to work. Lemme spill some more deets on the pyramid fuzz in the contest I have. The base is a FF i continually tune around. What i wanted to avoid is YAFF so I will have a switch on the thing to go from just a FF to a FF + 1 muff type gain stage for super saturation, all still running on a 1 knob approach.

Man, hard to recommend specific Clutch albums. I think of them as a sum of their parts, and not their individual albums. Each album has something that makes it unique, and appeals to me in different ways. Sam made good recommendations.

I would skip From Beale Street to Oblivion and Strange Cousins from the West. They kind of lost their edge and went for more of a jammy blues rock band on the last two albums. Although it sounds like the grit is coming back on the new album!

By far one of my favorite bands of all time. Not going to get into an argument with the haters this round. You either love em or hate em.

i think that craziest idea so far was Marlons idea of a fuzz pedal at hcfx. Wanted first an infinite sustainer + a fuzz which splits the signal into 2 bands, original, and a suboctave thing which then are all recombined into 1 signal.

I'm not a huge Clutch fan either. His vocals remind me a lot of Violent J and/or Shaggy 2 Dope, not that that's a bad thing.

Ok I lied, honest idea I would actually like to have...

The Last Fuzz fighter

Same as the wizard fuzz in circuitry... instead of knobs though, the tone and gain knobs are controlled by a single joystick. Left and right = Tone control, up and down = gain. Volume is controlled by an internal trimpot. Put up a couple guards so I don't bump the joystick with my foot. Now I can finally dial in a tone MY way.
