Skip, drummer hits pretty hard. Never have trouble hearing him live. I think the sound has a lot to do with the camera used and how they were positioned. We actually have this entire show taped (the venue records sound from the board and video from a tripod, gives it to you on a DVD for $1) and the volume is much more even on those files. Soon as they're done being edited we'll upload them to facebook.
Also, Sludgelord just posted an interview I did with them! This is one of the coolest things that has happened to me yet: http://thesludgelord.blogspot.com/20...supervoid.html |

Whose the guitarist next to you playing the (i think its a) Tele? Is that negative theory? His tone is very very tasty, if it was takeout I'd eat it every night.

All 3 stringed instruments sit together very well. Quote:

When I moved in January 2012 that's when things started rolling. We wanted to make sure we could put on an impressive show before we started gigging. |

I thought about rehousing it but why bother if I can't change the knobs. I haven't found anything to replace the boss dual tone knob and I haven't a clue how to separate them into individual knobs.
I think you'll really dig how the mod transforms the pedal. Its my always on pedal. |

And I'm now realizing, we shouldnt rush into/worry about getting into shows, when they come, they will come. We are finally starting on artwork, songs are being finished, we havent even recorded a demo yet, we are ready for a show but we wont be a perfectly oiled machine doing it. With me going back to school, its like a forced break, for more perfecting and then we can record a great debut full length. And once school is out, we can hit it hard.

The thing is, I've got a huge, brutal tone with the stock ODB-3. I think I might buy a used one just to mod it, so I can have both. Maybe I'll paint the modded one or something.
I know it's hard to believe, but yes, the stock ODB-3 can sound good.

Heavy practice planned for tomorrow. Going to run through the set a few times with intro music and maybe try to work on Blood Eagle a little. That riff just crushes so good. Then we have two more songs coming down the pipe. Just have to finalize lyrics on them... (hopefully remember them when it's time to sing them. LOL)
I'll suggest spice where I can for my drummer, thanks for the tip Sam. I want us to be as heavy as possible. I appreciate being able to bounce stuff off of you guys.
That's why this thread rules.

For me, it is a no brainer. Their first album was great, but each release after that got weaker and weaker. Well The Sword blew me away with Apocryphon. I just can't stop listening to it. |
