I'm a Psychedelonaut man myself. But that whole album is cool.
Haven't really listened to much of their newer stuff, for some reason.

I think he only uses a 30watt amp

I like Tool, I believe they are good enough for a person to be completely obsessed with them, but am I? No.

When I think of a perfect studio sound, Tool is up there on the list.

Tool was my most listened to band for a long time.
The infinite wait between albums is understandable, but I don't like it.
Clutch is my número uno right now.

I thought Yob came out his year. I bought it this year, does that count?

Eh, I like Tool well enough. Always had friends that were way into them and Tool was often the best choice in said friend's cd wallets. Give me a choice between Korn, Slipknot and Tool and I'll say Tool every time.

Tool came up on my Doom pandora station. poor pandora...

I like Justin Chancellor, but that's it.

For a monster "progressive" metal band, I like Intronaut. Joe plays a super rad Pedulla. I love his tone.

I don't have a clear winner of best record for 2012....contenders are "Old Man Gloom -NO" "David Byrne & St. Vincent - Love this Giant" also "St. Vincent - Krokodil/Grot" is a an amazing 7" and you can make fun of me if you'd like but "Passion Pit - Gossamer" is a killer album.

St. Vincent is my favorite band. I think she is the most inventive and amazing musicians making music today. I've seen her perform around 15 times, and every single time she's come through on a tour she has rewritten and restructured songs so they never seem the same twice...it's mind blowing.

Forget the 1590BB size enclosure. The
1610 has the same exact footprint but
with a little extra depth. But not too much
like the 1590C or 1690NS. Perfect size
for almost any DIY FX project.

Yeah, I dont know what I should do to extend the depth. My two ideas are plexiglass, so you can see the LEDs glow, or wood and make it more Lodestone (see how I didnt say the company's name rigth there, haha)/Verellen pedal like. Or both...

Her music has a very heavy feel to it, like a weight. There is a groove you can rock your head to. Plus shes beautiful.

Trying to narrow down my "best of" albums to 10 would be tough, never mind picking one out of the bunch. That said, these are the records that rocked my Hyundai in 2012.

Enslaved - RIITIIR
Astra - Black Chord
Converge - All We Love We Leave Behind
Ancestors - In Dreams and Time
Swans - The Seer
Neurosis - Honor Found in Decay
Rush - Clockwork Angels
Graveyard - Lights Out
Dinosaur Jr - I Bet on Sky
Bob Mould - Silver Age
Snail - Terminus
Gojira - L'Enfant Savauge
High on Fire - De Vermis Mysteriis
Melvins Lite - Freak Puke
Kadavar - S/T
Black Breath - Sentenced to Life

All true statements.

Speaking of heavy tracks by St. Vincent, this was one of the tracks off her record store day exclusive, swans worship, get into it.

Well, the original doesn't even have a mid control as far as I know, so having one I could switch on and off would be nice, so that I could have the original EQ sound, or be able to dial in a mid boost for when I'm playing metal.

The reason why I'd want a Volume/Master setup like the D-180's is so I could overdrive it at low volumes. From what I know, both in the manual and from experience, on the D-180, if you set the master to 10, it basically disengages the master control and you set your volume just with the Volume control. I like that feature a lot.
