Generally as you go from full CCW to full CW you are increasing the value of the cap which lowers the cutoff frequency of the high pass filter, and thus more low end is allowed to pass. What effect this has on the circuit depends on what the circuit does, for example on a rangemaster if you put a FAC control instead of the input cap you could shape the low end going into the gain stage and thus change it from a treble booster to a full frequency booster. |
