I don't have a band opportunity, but i might have a part time project opportunity if your interested. Would involve me (on guitar) and Kerch (on vox / samples), as me and him have been looking for a new project but with both us having insane schedules its been extremely part time. Music would in the vein of what i played in my Dunwich Annunaki User Demo (on youtube), what i played is actually the first song I wrote for it and would like to work on. If your interested let me know and I'll PM you some details!

First jam in about a month. felt good. i pulled a Laz tonight. p-bass with chromes, tone rolled off and Bluebeard set with tone and fuzz at min.

Thick and sludgy, did not fit with the band at all but i forced it anyway. it was fun.

I turned up the tone about 1/4 way on both bass and fuzz and it worked a little more. i was actually pleasantly surprised how the combo of chromes and B3K worked. a little steve harris but with more dirt.

So I got the stylus for my dads old record player today as well, got her all setup, it skips at the beginning of the vinyl really bad no matter how I set it up. But once the album is going, its fine. Any suggestions from you vinyl connoisseurs? First listen, Om, Advaitic Songs, favorite album of the year. GLORIOUS!!

But my Ampeg B2R is acting up now...god I hate this thing.

Replying and trying out new bands via Craigslist can be really depressing and even sketchy. I've seen guitar players show up with not even a guitar. Expected us to have everything. Some showed up with a Walmart starter kit.

Also laz's pic has me prowling the net for new bridge pups for my eb3.

Mind is reeling... we have an offer to do a really awesome show in feb opening for Overkill. Have a guy who might be our singer and trying to find out if we have what it takes to get ready in time. I say yes.

By February? That should be plenty of time, right?

Also, Overkill (other than Bobby) are total dicks. I've worked many shows with them and they are incredibly difficult to work with.

Yeah I think so, probably schedule a smaller show to warm up first. Going to see how practice/tryout goes tomorrow. Wasn't even thinking about playing shows but it'd be a great start for us if we can pull it off. It's exciting and makes me feel like I'm in my 20s again hah :P.

Thought I was going to be the only ripoff tonight. I just played with 4001 with chromes in C standard into near-lowest tone/sustain bb into dialed back el oso, into a dimed amp, into a 215. Bluebeard almost always on, el oso+bb for the heaviest riffage. The EO on high mix (mostly "clean") gives the nicest sizzle (or tangiest zizzle?) on top of the already doomy sludge. Match made in heaven - that **** should be standard issue at this point.

That mini-mu through the bb or EO or both is insane btw Sam. Love it! I am getting it rehoused though as I nearly broke a switch tonight with an errant stomp on the tiny enclosure.

I still don't get the no power tubes thing though laz. Fuzz into KT88s completes my soul. Haha.

I got the Precision Special P/J up and running tonight with fresh rounds. I haven't had a chance to adjust the PU height just yet. I am waiting on new screws to replace a few stripped ones. But as is, this thing growls A-LOT. I really don't want to get too attached because I want to just keep it simple with owning two basses, but this thing is trying. We will have to see.

I seem to have missed the last thread due to coursework crunch time.

Here is a video where the bass is ridiculously loud: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6d4fKpnafhM

One of my first guitars was an electra. Sold it quick and regret it greatly now. I remember the body and finish were a bit weird but it felt and sounded awesome. If only I knew then what I know now...

BUY IT!

Cool new thread title, love it!

So I'm suffering the effects of a "Call of Duty timewarp" right now... went over my buddy's last night to play 1 round of Zombie mode around 10:00pm. Got up to leave at (what I thought) was an hour later, when it was actually 1:00. Fvck.

Congrats dude! Looks awesome! As you can tell I've been loving my Stingray knocker... its just so comfortable to play, the awesome tone is just a bonus.
