Well, on Friday, that very band approached us to do a split release. | How does that work, anyway? Is it usually a band you've played with a few times or what? |

My patience is wearing thin. I'm all for having some different stuff to make the music more interesting. So I was trying to fit it with what we were doing, which wouldn't be that hard (add another chord so we could shift into a different riff after his). Then new guitarist got all weird about it. It's a weak ass Orion rip-off anyway.
Also he got all condescending on me when I suggested that when he starts his wank fest the drummer and I need to have to figure something out.
Then after we were wrappin it up, he mentioned something about a singer... ugh.
We need some f-ing songs written and executed well before we even think about getting a singer. At this rate will be next winter. I'm too impatient for this sometimes.
My numero uno (guitarist) are on the same page and we have an idea for a direction, finally.haha. I think we may have to make a move on that soon. I don't know. I'm confused. hahaha.
Plus side, I was ripping out some cool one finger drop tuned power chord beastly sludge riffs. New guitarist hopped on bass (his bass and practice amp, my stuff is too big for his condo/apt). He told me to turn down. I said welcome to my world. hahaha. | Lol.
Both myself and my guitarist love Metallica, but we don't really play that kind of riff with our doom band.
I agree with you that thinking about getting a singer before you have riffs and songs down is a bit premature. In my experience, lead singers are bored and kinda disruptive if you're trying to write songs, unless they're also instrumentalists themselves. |

We could use two, though he/she'd have to find some sonic space somewhere around what me and my guitarist are already doing. |

You’re totally right, man. Fuzz is very subjective indeed. Quote:

Knowing what your desired end result is could really help us narrow down a suggestion for you. | You’re completely right to ask what type of sound I’m looking for. Hmmm. It’s hard to put words on it. Of course I’m a big fan of Om and I won’t hide it. Al Cisneros has a killer tone that would definitely make me moist if I was an old hairy woman. In sum, anything that gets near that makes me happy.
Also, I’m not at all into the square wave fuzz or the bit fuzz. I want something warm sounding, definitely more of a fuzz than a dist, but not too much of a glitch. In your words, maybe that would sound like “a high gain highly versatile fuzz” with a “cutting distortion”. It’s important to note that I don’t want to sound metal. |

I'll look into the ISO5 then, thanks for the recommendation. | Yeah when playing black metal bass there isn't much need for pedals, a tuner and a good dirt pedal is all you need. I used to use an old 80's Warlock bass into a bass big muff with the all knobs dimed. Super simple but fun as hell hahaha
No problem my friend!!! If that doesnt clear it up then you have other issues, that I'm not sure i could help diagnose.
