There are numerous different manufacturers that make power supplies, Voodoo Labs makes the PP series (pedal power) and Cioks makes the DC series. There's other companies as well like T-Rex who make the Fuel Tank series. Those are the three most commonly seen isolated output power supplies, what isolated output means is that every output tap has its own ground, they do not share a common ground across the whole, so you are way less susceptible to ground loops which can cause hissing, static, noise, radio frequency pickup, and a slew of other problems commonly associated with "common ground" power supplies. For you I would probably recommend either a Voodoo Labs ISO5 (which has 4 9v output taps [including one high ma output tap, which is also usable as 12v] and one 18v output tap) or a T-Rex Fuel Tank Jr (which also has 5 output taps but are all 9v and of average mA output). The ISO5 will probably run you 30-40$ more than the Fuel Tank Jr but you get a heavy duty 3 prong power chord and alot more options as far as what you can power, plus if you all ready have a pedal train board they sell brackets to mount it directly beneath your board!

No problem! You said you have a pedal train board right? I'd start with an ISO5, its not the cheapest but it will probably be the last power supply you'll ever need unless you get bit by the pedal bug, and with the optional mounting brackets they are pretty much designed to go together.

I use one on my bass board pictured below, I also daisy chain off the tuner so that i can power 6 pedals even though it has 5 outputs, and the brackets for mounting it underneath opens up pedal real estate.



It may be overkill for you pricewise but if your into pedals at all a good power supply is an investment worth making.

That right there is a mighty clean,awesome pedal board! I still want a SuperCollider at some point.

When I was looking for a power source I ended up buying a T-Rex Jr brand new for about 90 bucks. I quickly added so many effects to my board that I needed another power source. I wound up finding a used T Rex Jr for 60 here on TB,so now my 11 effect pedal board is powered by 2 friggin T Rex Jr isolated power bricks.

nick if i ordered a dunwich pedal i would request a perspex bottom so i could look at the magnificent wiring without actually unscrewing anything.

building myself a pedalboard to fit all my future and current pedals:

dual true bypass looper, tu-2, hpf-pre, ernie ball vp jr, mini-mu rehoused into a larger casing, dod 250 clone, bluebeard, el oso.

all i am missing is the hpf-pre, volume pedal, the 250 clone and the new enclosure for the mm. we've got a few new riffs in songs where we get really 70s riffy and i need less fuzz and more trebly bite, so it's gonna be a great combo with the el oso or just by itself.

Saw High on Fire, with Goatwhore, and Lo-Pan last night at the High Noon Saloon. There was a local band too, but I forget their name; unfortunately I arrived too late to catch them. Was as awesome as you'd expect. I actually chatted with Matt Pike for like 5 seconds. Was pretty stoked about that, he's my hero.

Matt Pike was using two Soldano SLO's with 4 Emperor 4x12's and a custom white First Act Les Paul.

Jeff Matz was using an SVT with two 4x10's and what looked like a Sunn 2000S with two 4x12's, one being an Emperor. Not exactly sure which bass he was playing. Tone was SICK.

Here's some clips of Frost Hammer and 10,000 years. I took them with my iPhone, so don't expect greatness.
