That said… I been thinking of trading it for a 1k terror bass. Laz is a good salesman. | Love my TB! Quote:

I got the whiteboard hung up at practice today and we diagrammed out a song we've been working on. Really useful. I highly recommend doing it!
Tweaked my tone a lot today before everyone else showed up for practice. Pulled even more gain down on the Orange. Now it is around 11:00 or so. Tweaked the BB and El Oso and I'm REALLY happy with my tone right now. I was able to dial back in some of that low end warmth I was missing. Seems to sit in the mix much better now. Have the El Oso set to something like Mix - 3:00 Gain - 4:30 and it gives me some super angry low end retention. |

As far as bass gear goes. The standard was blue or black line SVT's with 8x10s. But our tuning doesn't mesh well with tube bass amps so I used a SVT4pro with 2 8x10s on the big stage, and an Ashdown amb 500 with an 8x10 on the smaller stage. There was a 2x15 but it unfortunately got blown before we played otherwise I would have added that in on the smaller stage.
As far as I know there aren't any pro videos for the live set, but it would be cool if those did exist somewhere. |

And excited about Friday.
So I think I may mod the strat, This is what I'm thinking...leave the neck a single coil, in the middle put in a P90, and the bridge a humbucker. Add a second volume pot for the bridge pickup, which gets it's own tone. The neck and middle would share a volume and tone. Keep the 5 way selector, wire it- neck, neck+mid, mid, bridge single, bridge hum.
This possible? Have the best of all pickups. |

My holy trinity
'74 P, '74 SVT, '73 (flat back)810.
Like I said, played some dimarzio's and their cool but not my thing. I'm also thinking the fender 62 will be a lot like my current spb-1 so I'm not even going to try. Hopefully the weird, hot, cheap pup does the trick. If not ordering a p-46 and after that ill prolly break it down do some part swapping and sell it as parts. | Very nice! The Ampeg Heritage 810s are going on sale again on Amazon. Ugh.. I don't need it, but these are looking nice at the lower than classic prices. I keep telling myself that the next cab I plan on getting will be the Fearless 215wide. I must stop buying gear. I have a problem. Quote:

For what it is worth, I have a gold anodized PG on my Fender P/J atm, and it doesn't look half bad.

I really dont think I'd ever use the back pickup, so why have it, I'm all about simplicity. One master vol, two tone, and a 3 way switch. So all I need to buy is a P90, a switch, and a pickguard, which will have to be custom made. The less work and mods I have to do, the better.
